The Adopt A Short Project is all about helping L.A. based alternative filmmakers, film lovers and crew members find each other so they can bring innovative short films to life.
If you're a patron wanting to help fund cinematic art, crew looking to join a cool project, or a filmmaker seeking the aforementioned people, you're in the right place.
Each month we select the most exciting short film currently in pre-production and share a video about it on this site and on social media with information about how to fund it or join the crew.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR FILMMAKERS

Send the following info about your short

Script
-
Any pictures or pre-visualizations.

Production start date or fundraising deadline.

A link to your fundraising page and/or web site if you have one.

If seeking crew, include a list of positions you need and if they are paid.

Filmmaker zip code (to ensure the film is local)

Show us that you are serious and ready to roll.
To be featured in the March video, submit by March 15th.
We will contact finalists with further questions.

RULES And GUIDELINES:
- Again, filmmaker must be based in the Los Angeles Metro area.
​- Films must be 45 pages or less. (we like less the most)
- If you haven't written the script, you're too early.
- Unconventional ideas are loved the most. (Bring on the experimentation)
- If fundraising, you must have a campaign on a reputable fundraising site. (Indiegogo, GoFundMe, Fundly, Kickstarter, etc...)
- We cannot guarantee you will find the crew or funds you are looking for.
